Is steam require for a game of Thrones: Genesis
Is steam going to be necessary to even play the game? I and my roommate are together planning on getting the game however we don’t have internet at our place and if steam is necessary I possibly will have to pass for obvious reasons.

Don't think it'll be necessary to play the game (even though the multiplayer side of things might require it however details haven't been forthcoming up till now). It will however be necessary to activate the game so you'd necessitate an internet connection for at what time you install it initially. You are able to then likely play it through steam in offline mode (used for single player at least).

Hello as per my knowledge if you are planning to play together you are going to need an internet connection - I doubt it will provide LAN. I hope this will help you to solve your confusion.
