Nirnroot Bug in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I don't know if it's been this way all along for me and I just noticed it, or if something got messed up. I'm noticing it outside Whiterun on the road to Riverwood. The Nirnroot along the stream have this enormous glowing white dome around them with a harsh gradient blur that looks very unrealistic. I'm pretty sure this was how it was when I started playing on the PC as well because I really would've noticed that. Of course like many I've been playing with the prefs for increased performance and shadow fixes, but I went back to the default and still had the problem. I also have four mods I'm using and I disabled them---same problem. Additionally, I've play-tested on low, medium and high default settings with no change. My card is a Nvidia by the way, but I'm not looking at a bug with the card or drivers because again I'm FAIRLY certain this wasn't the case before.

It seems that a lot more gets put into the character save files than in Fallout 3/Oblivion. Maybe try starting a new game with no INI tweaks or mods, and see if the problem persists?

Okay well that was definitely it. I forgot to disable the mods, but just starting a new character fixed the graphical glitch (as well as one other I was encountering). I guess as more people experience this problem, a "save cleaner" of some kind will be made, similar to the one for Oblivion which fixed animation issues.

That particular Nirnroot also seems to have issues on my computer, no mods or ini tweaks involved and the problem doesn't seem as extreme as yours but it's way brighter than any other Nirnroot I've seen, weird glitch.

Mine seem to be giving off a disproportionately large glow too, but not quite as bad as yours. I got to say your Nirnroot is awesome.
